Ekwunife, Kalu, Nwoye Hail Chukwuma’s South-East Rally for Tinubu’s 2027 Re-election

By Titus Eleweke

Senator Uche Ekwunife has highlighted the achievements of President Bola Tinubu’s administration while commending Sir Paul Chukwuma for mobilising women, youths and All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders from the five South-East states in support of the President’s re-election bid in 2027.

Ekwunife, the APC candidate for Anambra Central Senatorial District and Zonal Director of Election Planning, Coordination, Monitoring and Mobilisation of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, described the rally as a significant demonstration of political mobilisation and support for the Tinubu administration.

She praised Chukwuma, the South-East Coordinator of the Tinubu Support Group (TSP), for committing his resources and energy to the party’s interests despite not seeking an elective office.

“We cannot appreciate Sir Paul Chukwuma enough for mobilising the number of women and youths like we haven’t seen politically in recent times. This is the first time someone who is not running for any political office would deploy his energy and resources to mobilise massively for the interest of his party, the All Progressives Congress,” she said.

Ekwunife said the rally, which attracted participants from Anambra, Abia, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo states, provided an opportunity to explain the achievements of the Tinubu administration and persuade Nigerians to support his re-election.

“Today, we want Nigerians to return President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, on account of his lofty achievements,” she stated.

Highlighting some of the Federal Government’s policies and programmes, the senator cited improvements in civil servants’ salary payments, the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), road infrastructure projects and the Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer Programme.

She explained that NELFUND provides eligible students with financial assistance to pursue their education, while the conditional cash transfer initiative is designed to support vulnerable households.

According to her, the cash transfer programme, as outlined in her remarks, provides eligible households with ₦25,000 monthly for three months, amounting to ₦75,000 per household, with a target of 15 million vulnerable households through the National Social Register.

The senator stressed the need for political leaders and party supporters to communicate government policies effectively and explain their benefits to citizens, particularly in education, workers’ welfare, infrastructure and social protection.

The Deputy National Chairman (South) of the APC, Dr Benjamin Obi Nwoye, and the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, also commended Chukwuma for organising the rally in support of Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.

The two party leaders equally acknowledged Ekwunife’s participation and her contributions to party activities.

Other dignitaries at the rally included the member representing Orumba North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Princess Chinwe Nnabuife, the APC candidate for Dunukofia, Njikoka and Anaocha Federal Constituency, as well as other party candidates and stakeholders from across the South-East.

The gathering brought together APC leaders, coordinators, women and youths from the five South-East states to demonstrate support for Tinubu’s administration ahead of the 2027 general election.
