The Imo State Commissioner of Police, Aboki Danjuma, has ordered a comprehensive investigation into a viral video alleging that a hotel located in Irete, in Owerri West Local Government Area, serves as a base for kidnapping and organ harvesting.

The disturbing allegations emerged on Friday after a video surfaced online showing footage of the hotel and a photograph of its owner.

The video’s narrator claimed that unsuspecting guests who lodge at the facility are abducted and their organs removed.

He further warned members of the public to avoid the hotel, alleging that similar criminal activities were taking place in other locations.

Following the video’s circulation, the police have invited both the hotel owner and the individual behind the viral footage for questioning as part of efforts to verify the claims and gather evidence.

Police authorities have assured the public that the investigation will be conducted with full transparency and that the findings will be made public upon completion.

According to a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Henry Okoye, the Commissioner of Police has invited the hotel owner, identified as Allwell Onyedikachi Mmaduabuchi, to assist in the investigation. Meanwhile, efforts are underway to trace and apprehend the young man who made the viral video so that he can provide concrete evidence to substantiate his allegations.

“The Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma, has ordered an in-depth investigation into the viral video in which a yet-to-be-identified young man accused the owner of H&C Hotel in Irete of being involved in kidnapping and organ harvesting,” the statement read.

ASP Okoye emphasized that the police will not treat the matter lightly and will ensure the public is duly informed once the investigation is concluded.

He also cautioned residents against spreading unverified claims, urging them to remain calm as the police work to establish the authenticity of the allegations.

“The Command remains steadfast in upholding the rule of law, ensuring justice without fear or favour, and maintaining public confidence,” Okoye assured.
