Drug Abuse Steals Dreams, Threatens Our Future — Nonye Soludo
First Lady of Anambra State, Dr Mrs Nonye Soludo
The First Lady of Anambra State, Dr. Mrs. Nonye Soludo, has stated that drug abuse destroys the potential of individuals and threatens the future of both Anambra State and the nation.
The wife of the Anambra State Governor and founder of the Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative, made the statement in commemoration of the 2026 World Drug Day.
She noted that drug abuse not only robs young people of their dreams and aspirations but also weakens the fabric of families and communities.
According to her:
“Drug abuse steals dreams, destroys potential, and threatens the future of individuals, our state, and the nation. It also weakens the fabric of our homes and communities. As we mark this important day, let us renew our commitment to protecting our children and young people through sustained awareness, prevention, early intervention, and support.
“With all hands on deck, we can build a healthier, safer, and drug-free society where every child has the opportunity to thrive and achieve their full potential. Say no to drug abuse,” .
