ANIAS Hails Aburime’s National Excellence Award, Credits Soludo’s Inclusive Governance

The Association of Non-Indigenes in Anambra State (ANIAS) has hailed the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, Hon. Christian Aburime, for receiving the National Excellence Award in Strategic Communication and Public Service, describing the recognition as a testament to his professionalism and dedication to public service.

The association said Aburime’s achievement had further demonstrated that non-indigenes could occupy strategic positions and contribute meaningfully to governance in Anambra State, irrespective of their state of origin.

Aburime received the award at the 10th National Leadership Integrity and Development Summit and Awards 2026, held at Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja.

The event was organised by the Centre for Ethical Conduct Orientation and Empowerment (CECOE).
In a congratulatory statement signed by its President-General, Hon. Prince Chigozie Nweke, ANIAS described the honour as well deserved, citing Aburime’s professionalism, strategic communication expertise and commitment to the Soludo administration.

The association expressed particular pride in Aburime’s accomplishment, noting that he was a member of the non-indigene community who had risen to become the image-maker and spokesperson of the Anambra State Government.

According to ANIAS, his appointment and national recognition reflect what it described as the inclusive governance philosophy of Governor Soludo, which allows people from different ethnic and geographical backgrounds to contribute to the development of the state.

The association congratulated Aburime on behalf of non-indigenes residing across Anambra State’s 21 local government areas and 179 communities, while wishing him greater accomplishments in public service.

ANIAS also commended Governor Soludo for the confidence reposed in Aburime and for providing opportunities for non-indigenes to serve in his administration.

The statement described Aburime as a source of pride to the association and the wider non-indigene community in Anambra State.
