The Managing Director of Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra (OCHA Brigade), Comrade Celestine Anere, has reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to high standards in environmental enforcement through the quality and training of its personnel.

Speaking during a platoon competition exercise organized to assess the performance, discipline, and adaptability of newly recruited operatives, Comrade Anere said that the agency’s ongoing training programme adheres to international best practices and modern enforcement protocols.

“This training is part of the government’s broader commitment to building a professional, disciplined, and civility-driven workforce that prioritizes effective human relations and operates in line with global standards,” he stated.
Also addressing participants at the event, the Special Assistant to the Governor on OCHA Brigade Matters, Mr. Obiora Anaka, commended the dedication and enthusiasm demonstrated by the new recruits.
He noted that their integration into the agency would significantly bolster the state’s enforcement efforts.
Mr. Anaka further urged the recruits to carry out their duties with utmost respect for citizens’ rights and human dignity, stressing the importance of public trust in the success of enforcement operations.
In his remarks, the Camp Instructor, Mr. Femi Ebams, expressed gratitude to the state government for empowering young people through the recruitment initiative. He assured that the recruits are being thoroughly trained in the necessary skills, discipline, and orientation required to enhance the operational effectiveness of the brigade.
According to him, the training not only strengthens the capacity of OCHA Brigade but also contributes meaningfully to the broader goals of state development, public order, and environmental responsibility.
