The Ebonyi State chapter of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has firmly denied recent reports suggesting an impending alliance with other political parties.

State Chairman, Hon. Chukwudi Nwankwo, described the claims as deliberate misinformation propagated by those threatened by APGA’s growing influence ahead of the upcoming general elections.

He urged the public to disregard what he termed “baseless and misleading statements.”

Party officials dismissed the reports as fabricated stories circulated by individuals concerned about APGA’s strategic positioning to challenge the dominance of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming state elections. Emphasizing the party’s independent political identity, APGA urged citizens to ignore commentary from what it described as “biased and self-serving sources.”

Hon. Nwankwo also discredited a faction within the party attempting to align with opposition interests, calling their actions unjustifiable and lacking legitimacy.

He encouraged loyal members to remain committed to APGA’s principles and vision.

In a press statement issued Monday in Abakaliki and signed by the party’s Media Director, Comrade Chris Emmanuel, APGA expressed surprise over a specific report suggesting the party’s involvement in a multi-party alliance.

Nwankwo alleged that rival parties may have orchestrated the narrative to sow division within APGA ranks.

The party further questioned the origin and intent of the report, which claimed that “Ebonyi PDP, LP, APGA, Others are Supporting ADC.”

Nwankwo categorically denied any involvement in such an alliance, warning that the spread of misinformation could destabilize the political landscape.

He argued that the growing popularity of APGA in the state has prompted fear and misinformation campaigns from competing parties.

“Rather than pursuing any coalition or merger, as falsely suggested by propagandists, our immediate focus is the revalidation of membership, as approved by our National Working Committee (NWC),” “We are set to intensify grassroots mobilization and membership drives, and I am confident that our party will continue to gain significant ground over others.”Nwankwo stated.

He further noted that APGA is a truly progressive and independent political party, with no intentions of merging with any other party, given the strength of its ideological foundations.

“Our members should completely disregard these unfounded claims and concentrate on attracting more citizens to APGA, which continues to gain momentum among the people of Ebonyi,” Nwankwo added.
