Obigwe Fires Back at Chido Obidiegwu for Attacking Soludo, Describes Him as “Hungry Fool at Forty”

Chido Obidiegwu and Chinedu Obigwe

Evang. Chinedu Obigwe, National Coordinator of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) Media Warriors Forum, has strongly urged the people of Anambra State to disregard the recent inflammatory writings and tantrums by Chido Obidiegwu against Governor Charles Soludo.

In a statement issued on Tuesday titled “Re: Soludo – Theorist with Abysmal Capacity to Lead” authored by Chido Obidiegwu—Obigwe responded with scathing criticism, labeling Obidiegwu as a “hungry fool at forty who will remain a fool forever.”

Obigwe revealed that Obidiegwu’s actions are not motivated by genuine loyalty to Ukachukwu, but rather by a desperate attempt to secure the attention of President Bola Tinubu by serving as a master of ceremony at an upcoming event where the president will be present.

Since Obidiegwu has publicly abandoned all decorum, Obigwe declared that there would be no softening of his language.

“The truth is that Chido Obidiegwu is a hungry fool at forty who will remain a fool forever,” he stated .

Obigwe further explained that Obidiegwu was relieved of his position as Managing Director of ABS by Governor Soludo due to poor performance.

According to him, this dismissal, coupled with dashed hopes for reappointment, pushed Obidiegwu into the ranks of disgruntled politicians who believe that destabilizing the administration is the only way to voice their grievances.

“I recently met Chido Obidiegwu at New Generation Bank. During our conversation, I candidly told him that aligning with the sinking Ukachukwu campaign was a grave political error. I also informed him that Ukachukwu would not win the November 8th governorship election,” Obigwe recounted.

Obidiegwu reportedly admitted indifference to Ukachukwu’s electoral fortunes, confessing that his primary goal was to gain visibility with President Tinubu by securing a role as master of ceremonies at an event where the president would be present.

He lamented his dismissal by Governor Soludo and the consequent cessation of communication from the governor, explaining that he had sent a lengthy message outlining his family responsibilities and mental distress caused by his lack of appointment renewal.

When no response came, Obidiegwu disclosed that Senator Uche Ekwunife reached out, urging him to join Ukachukwu’s team, which he ultimately accepted due to his personal need to provide for his family.

Obigwe noted that Obidiegwu’s story only reaffirmed his view that Obidiegwu is a “hungry fool at forty destined to remain so.”

Obigwe pointed out the irony that Obidiegwu, who served eight years in the previous administration and over two years under Governor Soludo, now complains about financial hardship following his dismissal, which is a clear indication of overreliance on government appointments.

“Obidiegwu’s alignment with Ukachukwu is not out of loyalty but personal ambition. When confronted with Ukachukwu’s likely electoral defeat, Obidiegwu’s sole focus remained securing an appointment or visibility with the President.”he said.

This, Obigwe stated, validates Governor Soludo’s assertion that Ukachukwu and his associates are primarily seeking federal appointments but are unwilling to follow proper channels.

Soludo has generously advised them to put aside their egos and approach him for assistance in securing such appointments.

Obigwe added that Obidiegwu is fully aware that Governor Soludo has performed exceptionally well in office. However, to curry favor with Ukachukwu, whom he now serves,Obidiegwu has resorted to fabricating falsehoods against the governor.

The governor’s genuine efforts have earned the trust and admiration of the people of Anambra State, making such slanders ineffective and futile. Obidiegwu’s blackmail attempts will not diminish Soludo’s achievements or public support.

“It is Governor Soludo or nothing until March 17, 2030, because one good turn deserves another,” Obigwe affirmed.

He called on the general public to dismiss Chido Obidiegwu’s writings and tantrums as the desperate acts of a “hungry fool at forty” who will remain a fool forever.
