Choice De Immaculate Demonstration School (CIDS) Best Graduating Student, Miss Saka Aliyat

A Yoruba student, Miss Saka Aliyat, an indigene of Osun State, has made history by emerging as the Best Graduating Student in Igbo Language at Choice De Immaculate Demonstration School (CIDS), Obosi, in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Remarkably, Aliyat outperformed her Igbo classmates in the subject despite being from a different ethnic background , a rare academic achievement that has drawn admiration from teachers, parents, and fellow students alike.

Beyond her linguistic excellence, Miss Saka distinguished herself as an all-round scholar, receiving multiple subject awards.

She graduated as Best Student in Igbo Language, English, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Economics, and Marketing.

Her outstanding performance also earned her several personality awards, including,Neatest/Complete Uniform,Most Disciplined Student,Most Punctual Student ,Most Hardworking Student and Affinity to Students (Best Peer Relationship)

Expressing her gratitude, Aliyat encouraged her fellow students to remain focused, diligent, and enthusiastic about their studies.

“With dedication, consistency, and faith in your teachers’ guidance, success will surely follow,” “Our Director, Engr. Solomy Ochokwu, has been a great mentor to me, and I encourage others to follow her instructions if they wish to excel.”she said.

In his address during the 15th Valedictory and Prize-Giving Ceremony for the Class of 2025, held at the Promised Land School Field, Obosi, the Director of CIDS, Engr. Solomy Ochokwu, commended the graduating students for their resilience and achievements.

“As you embark on the next chapter of your lives, do so with boldness and purpose,” “The world will test your strength , wear the armor of resilience. Face challenges with integrity, honesty, and a relentless work ethic. Success will surely follow those who persist with these virtues.” Ochokwu urged.

He further reminded the students to remain grateful to their parents and alma mater:

“Always look back with gratitude, especially to your parents who supported you throughout your education. Honor them, and your blessings will be unending. Most importantly, never forget your Alma Mater.”he stated.

The event also featured the keenly contested ‘Face of CIDS’ competition, where Miss Adanna Okeke emerged winner, while Miss Chidimma Ejindu was crowned the ‘Princess of CIDS.’

Parents and guests, including Mr. Onyema Okeke, Mr. Ejindu, Chief Dr. Prince Nwokolo, High Chief Ozo Uzobulego, Mr. Obieze Ochokwu, and Nze Chinedu Okafor, commended the school’s management and staff for their unwavering commitment to quality education.

They praised Choice De Immaculate Demonstration School for its holistic approach to learning one that integrates intellectual development, character formation, cultural appreciation, morality, godliness, creativity, and entrepreneurship.

“CIDS is a total-concept school,” said Chief Nwokolo. “It doesn’t just teach academics; it nurtures children in every aspect of life.”they said .

The colorful ceremony featured a variety of entertaining and educative performances, including ballet and hip-hop dances, cultural displays, spoken-word presentations, talk shows, and the cutting of the graduation cake.

The climax of the day was the announcement of Miss Saka Aliyat as the Best Graduating Student, earning a standing ovation from the audience for her extraordinary academic excellence and cross-cultural achievement.
