An Anglican priest in the Diocese on the Niger, Rev. Uchechukwu Nzegwu, has urged members of the Faithspiration Initiative to remain steadfast in their faith, regardless of life’s pressures, circumstances, or challenges.
Rev. Nzegwu gave the admonition while preaching on the topic “Faith in Action” during the opening-year prayer meeting of the Faithspiration Initiative, held at Sts. John and Paul Parish Catholic Church ,Awada, Obosi, in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The cleric emphasized that faith in God must be unwavering and deeply rooted in absolute trust and belief, encouraging members of Faithspiration to allow their faith to inspire others to come to Christ. He noted that genuine faith must be Christ-centered and result-oriented, producing positive outcomes in line with the initiative’s slogan: “Inspire, Christify and Flourish.”
Rev. Nzegwu, who also serves as the Vicar of Bethany Anglican Church, Federal Housing Estate 3-3, Onitsha, stated that true faith produces actions that bring glory to God. He stressed the need for members to develop formidable faith in Jesus Christ, His promises, and His works.
According to him, faith in action is faith that produces results—faith that motivates people to work diligently while trusting God as the ultimate source and sustainer of all success.
“We encourage people not to give up on God. One of the reasons many people lose faith easily is because they expect God to act according to their own timelines. We must learn to be patient with God,” he added.
He cited Abraham as the father of faith, explaining that Abraham trusted in God’s promises, waited on the Lord, and was ultimately blessed abundantly.
Another speaker at the event, Rev. Fr. James Anyaegbu, urged Faithspiration members to pursue their goals relentlessly in the new year. Fr. Anyaegbu, who is the Director of the Faith-Chat Platform in Scotland, United Kingdom, preached on the topic “Leave No Jar Empty” (John 2:1–11).
He advised members to be disciplined, intentional, and resourceful in pursuing their desires, assuring them that God would take care of issues beyond their control.
“Be disciplined, intentional, and resourceful in all your pursuits, and God will grant you success,” he declared.
In her remarks, Mrs. Ezeliora Chinwe expressed admiration for the prayer meeting, noting that she was deeply impressed by both the spiritual atmosphere and the quality of the ministers invited to address Faithspiration members.
She particularly commended the efforts of the Founder and Spiritual Leader of the Faithspiration Initiative, Very Rev. Fr. Dr. George Adimike, whom she described as a priest with a special passion for youths. She prayed for God to continually increase his anointing.
Similarly, a key member of the Faithspiration Initiative, Brother Kingsley Ezeudu, described the prayer meeting as a life-transforming experience and a remarkable moment for members of the initiative.
In his closing remarks, the Spiritual Leader of the Faithspiration Initiative, Very Rev. Fr. Dr. George Adimike, expressed profound gratitude to the two guest priests for their impactful messages and encouragement to members.
He also appreciated gospel singer Chioma Ezefeta and other ministers who led the worship sessions, as well as members of the Faithspiration Initiative Port Harcourt Branch, Mrs. Herriatha Ozigbo, Mrs. Ezeliora, and others who contributed to the success of the event.
