Soludo Harps on Peaceful Coexistence at Eid Kabir

The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, has stated that the peaceful coexistence of people of different faiths in the state remains a source of pride and a testament to shared values of tolerance, respect, and unity.
In his Eid Kabir message to the Muslim faithful, conveyed through his Press Secretary, Governor Soludo stated that the celebration serves as a reminder of the virtues of sacrifice, devotion, and submission to divine will,values that transcend religious boundaries and affirm our common humanity.
The statement reads:“The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, congratulates the Muslim community in Anambra State and across Nigeria on the celebration of this year’s Eid Kabir (Eid al-Adha).
In expressing his goodwill, Governor Soludo acknowledges the profound significance of this holy festival for Muslims, commemorating Prophet Ibrahim’s unwavering faith and obedience to Allah’s command. The Governor notes that the celebration underscores the virtues of sacrifice, devotion, and submission to divine will,virtues that transcend religious lines and resonate with our shared human values.
He further appreciates the valuable contributions of Muslim brothers and sisters to the socio-economic development of Anambra State, affirming that the peaceful coexistence of people of diverse faiths is a point of pride and a reflection of our collective values of tolerance, mutual respect, and unity.
