I’m ‘very, very’ proud of what you are doing in Abia State, Umahi tells Dr. Otti

The Minister of Works, Engr. Dave Umahi, has commended the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, for the good work he is doing in the state.

According to Umahi, Dr. Otti is reconstructing federal roads in Abia and delivering quality road projects.

Umahi, who is the former governor of Ebonyi State, made the commendation during a visit to Governor Otti’s office following his working visit and inspection of some ongoing federal road projects in Abia State, which President Buhari is scheduled to commission later this year.

He said he came to Abia State to conduct a discreet inspection of some of the federal government projects underway in the state.

Umahi stated, “I didn’t want to tell you (Governor Otti) in advance; you didn’t know I was coming. I’m here primarily to secretly inspect some of the projects in Abia State that we plan to commission by December. I also wanted to observe some of the great projects you are executing, which the President will commission during his visit to Abia State, so that I can give him an accurate report.”

“I’ve gone around on my own; I didn’t ask anyone to accompany me. I want to say that I am very, very proud of what you are doing for the people of Abia. I’m truly proud.”

He also expressed appreciation to Governor Otti for the support given to the construction of two sections of the Port Harcourt to Enugu Expressway, adding that before Governor Otti assumed office, it was difficult for the contractor to work freely on the project.
