The Anambra State Police Command has announced that the Joint Security Team has intensified surveillance and patrol operations across the state in a bid to deter crime and maintain public order.

The Command also urged residents not to be disheartened but to remain vigilant and cooperate fully with security agencies in identifying and exposing unrepentant criminals operating within the state.

In a statement issued by the Command’s spokesperson, SP Ikenga Tochukwu, the Police emphasized that residents play a crucial role in assisting law enforcement agencies to maintain peace, prevent criminal activities, and ensure public safety.

The statement reads in part:

“Following a recent security assessment, the Anambra State Police Command reiterates the importance of community participation in sustaining security and preventing crime.

Consequently, the Command urges residents not to lose hope but to remain alert and collaborate with security agencies in exposing individuals who continue to engage in criminal behavior.

By doing so, the public can significantly support the efforts of the Police in maintaining law and order, preventing criminal acts, and ensuring the safety of all.”
