The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi State announced that it has concluded plans to commence its electronic membership registration exercise ahead of the 2027 general elections.

State Chairman of the party, Chief Stanley Emegha, disclosed this while briefing journalists on the outcome of decisions reached during the APC’s enlarged South East stakeholders’ meeting held in Abakaliki, the state capital, on Monday.

Emegha stated that the registration portal has already been activated, and both ward and local government chairmen have been empowered to mobilize members for the exercise.

Expressing confidence in the APC’s continued dominance in the state, the chairman said the party remains fully committed and united.

“We had a visitor who came to assess the strength of the party and to witness the launch of our e-registration initiative.

“The portal will be open on Tuesday. As we all know, Ebonyi is APC and APC is Ebonyi. We intend to register every eligible member in the state.

“The process is simple you can register from home and print your membership slip. Today, our ward and LGA chairmen have been empowered to commence full mobilization for the exercise,” Emegha said.

Southeast Zonal Chairperson of the APC, Dr. Ijeoma Arodiogbu, described Ebonyi as a fully APC state, noting that what was intended as a routine party meeting turned into a celebration of unity and political dominance.

“I’ve spent two days touring Ebonyi, and I didn’t see a single opposition flag. That speaks volumes about the APC’s grassroots strength here. Governor Nwifuru is performing excellently, and we are proud of his leadership,” she stated.

The party’s Publicity Secretary, Simbad Ogbuatu, also commended the unity and growth of the APC in the state, describing Ebonyi APC as “a shining example of party organization and commitment nationwide.”
