The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the upcoming Anambra State election, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, has reiterated the urgent need for a complete change in leadership direction to effectively tackle the state’s deepening security and social welfare crises.
Speaking during an interview with our correspondent in Awka over the weekend, Ukachukwu said that Anambra is falling behind in critical sectors such as public safety, healthcare, and basic infrastructure.
He expressed grave concern over the deteriorating security situation across the state, describing it as alarming. According to him, insecurity has claimed numerous lives in various communities, highlighting the pressing need for decisive action to restore law and order.
Ukachukwu also lamented the state of healthcare delivery in Anambra, particularly the lack of essential hospital equipment, which he said forces many residents to seek medical attention far from home often with tragic consequences.
“This is an opportunity for Ndi Anambra to embrace meaningful change,” he said, stressing that the upcoming election provides a unique chance to reset the state’s trajectory. “Anambra needs a new lease of life for the betterment of society at large.”he said.
The APC flagbearer underscored that his administration would prioritize security and healthcare as foundational pillars of governance.
He noted that these areas would form the core of his three-phase developmental agenda, describing them as the bedrock of any functional and progressive society.
