As the build-up to the Anambra State 2025 Governorship Election gathers momentum, the President of Okpoko Youth Community, Comrade Chukwuebuka Ite Igwebuike, has emphatically declared Okpoko as a stronghold of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), stating that the community stands solidly behind Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo’s re-election bid.
Speaking to journalists in Onitsha, Comrade Igwebuike said that Governor Soludo faces no real opposition in the forthcoming November 8 gubernatorial election, describing his victory as “inevitable and non-negotiable.”
“Okpoko is APGA territory—fully and completely,” “We have already delivered our mandate to Professor Soludo. Come November, we will reaffirm it at the ballot box.”Igwebuike said.
Fondly known as “Aka Aga n’Umuchu” by his supporters, the youth leader revealed that comprehensive mobilization efforts have already been concluded within the community, with particular emphasis on the recently concluded voter registration exercise, which saw massive participation from Okpoko residents.
“Our people youth and adults alike registered in large numbers not just to vote, but to protect our development gains under Soludo’s administration. We are fully mobilized. It’s not just politics; it’s personal for us,” he added.
Igwebuike also took a swipe at other political parties, urging them to “save their campaign resources” by steering clear of Okpoko, which he described as “politically settled.”
My“Let me be blunt: no other party stands a chance in Okpoko. We’ve made our choice, and it is Soludo. Any effort to campaign here is simply a waste—nobody will listen,” he said .
He further described Soludo’s re-election as a moral obligation and a debt of gratitude, citing the governor’s numerous infrastructural interventions in Okpoko, a community that had long been neglected by previous administrations.
“Before Soludo, Okpoko was practically forgotten no roads, no hospitals, no electricity, no water. Today, all of that has changed. We now have access roads, solar-powered lights, healthcare facilities, and pipe-borne water. These are not promises; they are realities.”
“Tell me,” “what can any other candidate offer Okpoko that we haven’t already received from Soludo? The people know who stood by them when it mattered most. Soludo is not just a candidate; he is our solution.”he said.
The youth leader reaffirmed the unwavering resolve of the Okpoko community to deliver a landslide victory to Governor Soludo in the 2025 election, promising that Okpoko will set the pace in voter turnout and electoral support.
“Come November 8, Okpoko will speak loudly and clearly. We are with Soludo, and we are not backing down. This is our project this is our future,” he declared.
