Ekwunife Lacks Moral Standing to Attack Soludo, Says APGA Chieftain Obigwe

Mr. Chinedu Obigwe, National Coordinator of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Media Warriors Forum, has alleged that Senator Uche Ekwunife lacks the moral standing to criticize Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo.

Obigwe made the statement in a press release issued in Awka, the capital of Anambra State, which was made available to journalists.

This development comes amid a tense political atmosphere in Anambra State ahead of the November 8 governorship election.

The recent exchanges between supporters of Senator Uche Ekwunife and those backing the incumbent Governor, Prof. Soludo, have become increasingly disturbing.

Obigwe recalled that during the administration of former Governor Chinwoke Mbadinuju (1999–2003), Senator Ekwunife played a role in decisions that contributed to a prolonged industrial action by teachers, which kept students out of school for nearly a year.

He described Governor Soludo as a leader with a “refined leadership style” who is on a “divine mission to rebuild Anambra State,” contrasting him with the perceived shortcomings of previous administrations.

“It is a well-known fact that Senator Uche Ekwunife was among those whose actions contributed to the challenges faced by Anambra State between 1999 and 2003. Teachers were owed salaries, which led to a strike lasting over a year, leaving students at home. This period remains a sad chapter in the state’s history,” Obigwe added.

Obigwe argued that Governor Soludo’s administration has brought about positive transformation and urged voters to show massive support at the polls.

“Governor Soludo is on a divine mission to rebuild what was destroyed in our state years ago. Ndi Anambra are pleased with the progress under his leadership and will vote massively for him on November 8 as a well-deserved reward for his good work,” Obigwe said.
