Accord Party to Ukachukwu: Beware of Political Fraud,Chukwunonso Not Anambra State Chairman
Dr. C. C. Onyeeze, Governorship Candidate of Accord Party in Anambra State
The Accord Party, Anambra State Chapter, has cautioned the general public to disregard the false claims of one Mr. Chukwunonso, who has been parading himself as the State Chairman of the party.
Accord Party also warned All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Candidate, Prince Dr. Nicholas Ukachukwu, to avoid any form of engagement or negotiation with the self-proclaimed chairman Chukwunonso as he does not represent the Party.
In a strongly worded statement signed and issued on Thursday by Dr. C. C. Onyeeze, the Governorship Candidate of Accord Party in Anambra State, the party described Mr. Chukwunonso as an impersonator and a political fraudster attempting to mislead the public and discredit the lawful leadership of the party.
“The leadership of the Accord Party, Anambra State Chapter, has dismissed as improper, false, and totally unacceptable the claim by one Mr. Chukwunonso, who has been circulating misinformation that he is the State Chairman of the party,” the statement read.
According to Dr. Onyeeze, Mr. Chukwunonso is not, and has never been, the State Chairman of Accord Party in Anambra State, and he has no legal or constitutional authority to act or speak on behalf of the party.
The statement clarified that Mr. Batho Igwedibia remains the only duly recognized and constitutionally approved State Chairman of the Accord Party in Anambra State, as confirmed by official records of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Reacting to the misleading publication purportedly signed by the impostor, Dr. Onyeeze issued a stern warning to the general public and political actors, particularly the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Candidate, Prince Dr. Nicholas Ukachukwu, to avoid any form of engagement or negotiation with the self-proclaimed chairman.
He further emphasized that Accord Party is not for sale, and any monetary transaction, agreement, or political arrangement entered into with the said impostor is null, void, and without effect.
“Anyone who may have offered money or entered into any deal with Mr. Chukwunonso should immediately retrieve such funds. His actions neither reflect the vision, principles, nor internal structure of the Accord Party in Anambra State,” Dr. Onyeeze stated.
The Accord Party reiterated its commitment to transparency, internal discipline, and lawful political engagement, vowing not to tolerate any act of impersonation, fraud, or misrepresentation of its leadership.
The public is therefore advised to disregard any statement, directive, or meeting invitation not issued under the authority of Mr. Batho Igwedibia, the duly recognized State Chairman, or Dr. C. C. Onyeeze, the Governorship Candidate of Accord Party in Anambra State.
