Northern Christian Community Backs Soludo’s Re-election Bid, Appeals for Construction of 3km Amansea Road
Governor of Anambra State Prof Charles Soludo
The Northern Christian community in Anambra State on Sunday officially endorsed Governor Charles Soludo for a second term in office.
In the same vein, the group appealed to the governor to facilitate the construction of the Amansea–Ugwu Oba Road.
Speaking during the endorsement service held at the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), Amansea, the leader of the Northern Christian community in the area, Mr. Daniel Ibrahim Balami, said the entire community had resolved to vote for Governor Soludo in the forthcoming November 8 gubernatorial election, in order to ensure the continuation of his developmental initiatives.
Balami, however, appealed to the governor to assist in the construction of the 3-kilometre Amansea Road linking Ugwu Oba, noting that the project would significantly enhance development in the area.
Earlier, the President of the Association of Non-Indigenes in Anambra State (ANIAS), Prince Chigozie Nweke, stated that the association which comprises over 250,000 registered members with valid voter cardshad also resolved to support Governor Soludo’s re-election.
Nweke commended the governor for running an inclusive administration, particularly for appointing non-indigenes into key positions in his government.
He also appreciated the governor for extending the benefits of the One Youth, Two Skills programme to non-indigenes, which, he said, has empowered many youths across the state.
