Young Philanthropist Eugene-Nwankwo Backs Soludo’s Re-Election with 30,000 supporters
Ndiowu, an agrarian community in Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State, has overwhelmingly endorsed the re-election of Governor Chukwuma Soludo ahead of the November 8 gubernatorial election.
The endorsement came during a town hall meeting organized by a young entrepreneur and philanthropist, Engr. Chibueze Eugene-Nwankwo, where over 30,000 residents gathered to pledge their massive support for the governor.
Eugene-Nwankwo, who donated ₦10.5 million to the elderly, youths, security operatives, women’s groups, non-indigenes, and others for medical and welfare support, emphasized the importance of standing behind Governor Soludo, whom he described as a true friend of Ndiowu.
“Governor Soludo is the only sitting governor who has truly touched our lives. When he visited us in January this year, he assured us that Ndiowu would benefit from his rural development agenda,”
“I believe his promise is genuine. We are ready and willing to give him our votes. God will surely use him to liberate and develop our community, particularly by fulfilling his promise to provide us with good roads. Let us give him our overwhelming support to win this election.”Eugene-Nwankwo said.
The philanthropist, who had earlier donated over 400 solar streetlights to three villages in the community, commissioned by Governor Soludo in January also revealed that he had been paying the community’s electricity bills for over six years.
He pledged to continue his humanitarian gestures, especially in the area of educational empowerment.
According to him, many indigenes and non-indigenes of Ndiowu are already benefiting from his education endowment fund.
He reiterated his commitment to improving lives through the blessings God has bestowed upon him.
“I suffered a lot growing up in a poor family. Today, all I want to do is positively impact people’s lives,”
“I convened this gathering not as a politician, which I have no desire to become but to appeal to our people to join me in giving Professor Chukwuma Soludo our overwhelming votes on Saturday.”he said.
Chief Ernest Ezeajughi, Chief of Staff to Governor Soludo, who graced the event, commended Ndiowu community for its steadfast support and assured them that their confidence in the governor would not be misplaced.
“You will not be disappointed by re-electing Governor Soludo,”
“We appreciate Engr. Eugene-Nwankwo’s benevolence and open heart towards his people. I urge Ndiowu to come out en masse on Saturday and vote for the governor. This is our government, and Ndiowu will surely benefit from the ongoing development projects in the state.”he said.
He also encouraged local youths to take advantage of the state government’s youth skill empowerment programmes, from which many beneficiaries are now thriving independently.
Similarly, Mr. Emeka Aforka, former Deputy Majority Leader of the Anambra State House of Assembly and a native of Ndiowu, expressed confidence in Soludo’s leadership and called on the community to vote massively for him.
“Governor Soludo remains the best candidate for the Anambra Government House.
He is more than qualified and has proven his capability within just three years of his administration,” Aforka said.
Also speaking, Engr. Chike Emenike, immediate past President-General of Ndiowu, affirmed that the governor’s performance so far deserves commendation and a second term.
“Governor Soludo has done well and deserves another term to complete his developmental programmes for the state,” Emenike stated.
