Anambra State House of Assembly Congratulates Soludo on Landslide Victory
The Anambra State House of Assembly has congratulated Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo on his landslide victory in the November 8, 2025 gubernatorial election.
In a motion sponsored by the member representing Anaocha Constituency II, Chief Ejike Okechukwu, the lawmakers described the Governor’s re-election as an unequivocal affirmation of the people’s confidence in his leadership.
According to the Assembly, the Governor’s unprecedented victory across all 21 local government areas demonstrates the widespread satisfaction of Ndi Anambra with the developmental strides recorded under his administration.
The Deputy Speaker, Chief Chukwuma Okoye, while expressing gratitude to his constituents for turning out en masse to exercise their franchise, noted that the transformative structures and facilities established under Professor Soludo’s leadership were a decisive factor in securing his second term mandate.
Members representing Aguata Constituency I, Mr. Anayo Okpalaeke, and the Majority Leader of the House, Mr. Ikenna Ofodeme, also commended security agencies, the media, and other supporting personnel for their roles in ensuring a peaceful, orderly, and credible election.
Chief Okechukwu further praised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting what he described as a transparent, credible, and violence-free poll one that strengthens democratic consolidation in Anambra State and Nigeria at large.
He also thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for providing an enabling national environment that contributed to the peaceful conduct of the election in the state.
Describing the victory as “a mandate that carries the weight of the people’s hopes”, Chief Okechukwu emphasized that the outcome reflects both appreciation for the Governor’s achievements and confidence in his continuing vision for Anambra State.
“Your Excellency, the people have spoken clearly. They have seen your good works across our state. They have witnessed the transformation of Okpoko from neglect to renewal. They have benefited from free education, free maternal healthcare, and the empowerment of our youths through the One Youth, Two Skills initiative. They have watched you govern with purpose, transparency, and an unwavering commitment to the development of our dear state. This victory is their way of saying: continue; do not relent; finish what you have started.”he stated.
In his remarks, Dr. Udeze reaffirmed that the Anambra State House of Assembly remains a committed partner in progress and will continue to collaborate with the Governor to strengthen the legislative framework needed to achieve a prosperous, secure, and fully developed Anambra State.
