Tinubu Describes Soludo as  Friend of 22 Years, Congratulates Him on Gubernatorial Victory

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has described his 22-year relationship with the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, as exceptional and enduring.

In a statement issued on Friday by the Governor’s Press Secretary, Mr. Christian Aburime, President Tinubu made the remarks when Governor Soludo paid him a courtesy visit at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Thursday.

According to the statement, President Tinubu expressed delight at receiving Governor Soludo, noting that their long-standing friendship spanning more than two decades remains “outstanding and deeply valued.”

The President commended Soludo’s intellect, public service record, and commitment to national development, describing him as “an exemplary partner in Nigeria’s democratic journey.”

President Tinubu also used the occasion to formally congratulate Governor Soludo on his landslide victory in the recently concluded Anambra State gubernatorial election.

He applauded Soludo’s performance at the polls, which he said reflected the confidence of the Anambra electorate and reinforced the governor’s reputation as a reform-minded leader.

It will be recalled that President Tinubu had earlier issued a public congratulatory message immediately after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Governor Soludo winner of the election with 73% of the total votes cast.
