Nwoke Udi Palmwine Bar Celebrates Customers in Awka

 

Nwoke Udi Palmwine Bar, Awka, on Sunday treated its customers to an unforgettable experience.
The event, held at the award-winning establishment, was organized to mark the 2025 New Yam Festival.

The three-day celebration reached its climax on Sunday with a performance by Ogene cultural music maestro, Ausuma Malaika.
The renowned Ogene star thrilled the fully packed arena with a captivating display of musical artistry.

Also in attendance was the famous Brazilian Masquerade of Awka, which made a dramatic, acrobatic entrance and dazzled the crowd with breathtaking displays that embodied the rich cultural heritage of the people.

The festival kicked off on Friday with top DJs, led by host DJ BANKS, spinning classic and contemporary hit tracks that created an energetic atmosphere.
Patrons were generously served roasted yam and plantain, beautifully garnished with fresh palm oil, ukpaka (oil-bean seeds), and utazi leaves—a true taste of tradition.

Saturday’s event featured another powerhouse performance by music artist Eze York, who kept the audience enthralled with his melodious tunes and engaging stage presence.

Speaking during the event, the Managing Director of Nwoke Udi Palmwine Bar, Mazi Ndubuisi Eze, reiterated his commitment to preserving and promoting Igbo cultural values.
He emphasized that the New Yam Festival was organized to honor yam—the king of crops—in the authentic Igbo tradition.

Mazi Eze also assured customers that Nwoke Udi Palmwine Bar, alongside its newly expanded arm, Nnaochie Foods Awka, will continue to champion healthy, authentic African cuisine by offering a wide variety of freshly prepared local delicacies at affordable prices.
