Ebonyi Lawyers in Anambra Honour SASA Boss with Award of Recognition

The Managing Director of the Special Anti-Touting Squad and Commander of Agunechembra, Hon. Monday Nwokoye, has received an Award of Public Recognition from the Anambra-based Ebonyi State Lawyers Association.
The honour acknowledges his distinguished service to the Anambra State government and representation of the state.

At the Association’s end-of-year party and awards ceremony on 14 December 2025, Nwokoye expressed gratitude for the recognition, calling it a motivation to do more in service to society.
He thanked the lawyers for the honour and urged them to continue their commitment to justice, professionalism, and service to humanity.

Nwokoye also praised Anambra State Governor Prof. Charles Soludo for his developmental strides and effective governance.
He noted that Ebonyi indigenes in Anambra are excelling in various fields, earning respect through discipline and good conduct.
He urged the community to maintain its positive attitude and support one another.

The event featured welcome remarks by Association Chairman Barr. Victor C. Alo (JP), who highlighted the occasion as a celebration of excellence, recognizing individuals distinguished in law, academia, leadership, security, and business. Alo described the Anambra-based Ebonyi Lawyers Association, a voluntary body of over 100 Ebonyi indigenes, as committed to unity, welfare, promotion of the rule of law, and access to justice.

The Association plans to unveil the Ebonyi Free Legal Service Foundation to provide free legal aid to indigent persons. The Award of Honour, presented to Nwokoye on 20 December 2025, was described as a well-deserved recognition of his leadership, security contributions, and philanthropy.
