CEO of CSS Fiber, Odili, Gives Testimony as Geometric Power Delivers 24/7 Electricity in Aba

I recently paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman and Group Managing Director of Geometric Power in Aba, an experience that left a lasting impression on me. From the moment I arrived in the city, the impact of Geometric Power’s work was immediately evident. The hotel where I lodged was powered by steady public electricity rather than generators—an uncommon but refreshing reality in many Nigerian cities.
Intrigued, I engaged hotel staff and local residents in conversations about the power situation in Aba. The responses were consistent and overwhelmingly positive, all pointing to a remarkable turnaround in electricity supply since Geometric Power began operations.
Meeting the Chairman, Professor Bart Nnaji, was particularly inspiring. He embodied a rare combination of visionary leadership and entrepreneurial excellence. Despite his global stature and international acclaim, Professor Nnaji was strikingly humble, approachable, and gracious. At Geometric Power’s headquarters in the Osisioma Industrial Layout, he received me warmly, dressed simply, and spoke with calm confidence and clarity.
I took the opportunity to express my admiration for what the Geometric Power team has accomplished and how their success serves as a powerful inspiration to young entrepreneurs like myself. The Group Managing Director, Mrs. Agatha Nnaji, also shared a concise but compelling account of the company’s long and challenging journey, underscoring the resilience and perseverance behind its achievements.
During the visit, I also met the Managing Director of Aba Power, Mr. Ugo Opiegbe, as well as the company’s Communications Consultant, Mr. C. Don Adinuba, a former Commissioner for Information and Public Affairs in Anambra State. Each interaction reinforced the depth of professionalism and commitment driving the organization.
The transformation of Aba’s power sector is nothing short of extraordinary. From years of erratic and unreliable electricity, the city now enjoys stable, 24/7 power supply under Geometric Power. This achievement has significantly stimulated economic activity, enhanced productivity, improved quality of life, and restored confidence among businesses and residents alike. It stands as a compelling example of how private-sector investment, innovation, and persistence can effectively address Nigeria’s longstanding infrastructure challenges.
Despite my youth and the fact that it was our first meeting, Professor Nnaji and his entire team treated me with exceptional respect and dignity. Their journey is a powerful testament to the value of vision, hard work, and unwavering determination. It sends a clear message to entrepreneurs across Nigeria that with belief, resilience, and effort, even the most ambitious goals are achievable.

Mr. Onyinye Odili is the Chief Executive Officer of CSS Fiber Limited.
