Eze Backs Nwifuru, Says Ebonyi’s Founding Vision Alive

From Nabob Ogbonna, Abakaliki

The chairmanship candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Comrade Paul Eze, on Tuesday said that Governor Francis Nwifuru has not broken the will of the founding fathers of the state.
According to him, the governor has continued to maintain peace and drive infrastructural development, including road construction, across the 13 local government areas of the state.
Eze made this known to journalists on Tuesday while reacting to the peaceful conduct of the APC State Congress held at Pa Ngele Oruta Township Stadium in Abakaliki, the state capital.
He said, “The administration of Governor Nwifuru has taken deliberate steps toward changing the negative narratives about the state by creating effective avenues for peaceful political activities and promoting inclusivity. These were the dream goals of our founding fathers.
“So, I stand bold to say that the governor has not broken the will of the founding fathers of the state.
“He has also advanced road projects and prioritized human capital and infrastructural development.
“Other areas that have been adequately addressed include welfare, education, and healthcare,” he stated.
Speaking on the party’s State Congress, Eze lauded Governor Nwifuru for ensuring transparency in the exercise.
“Internal democracy was evident and upheld by everyone. As you can see, there is no rancour,” he added.
The Ohaukwu chairmanship hopeful, who congratulated the state leadership of the party led by Chief Stanley Emeagha on their emergence, charged the newly elected executives to strengthen the party ahead of future general elections.
Chief Stanley Emeagha was returned unopposed as state chairman, alongside other members of the state executive, to serve a second term for the ruling APC in Ebonyi State.
