An All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) chieftain in Anaocha local government council,Chief Arinze Anyaorah, has felicitated with Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State on his second-term swearing-in.
The ceremony was held at Ekwueme Square, Awka, the capital of Anambra State, on Tuesday.
Chief Anyaorah, a former chairman of the Federal Housing Estate, Onitsha, who spoke with journalists in his office in Fegge, Onitsha South LGA, commended Governor Soludo for his achievements in several areas of state development.
According to him, these achievements include the construction of good and quality road networks linking the three senatorial zones of the state; improvement in the education sector; provision of quality healthcare facilities and services; introduction of youth empowerment and employment programmes; and the maintenance of effective security measures that have made the state one of the safest in Nigeria.
Chief Anyaorah, who holds the title of Ide Aguluzoigbo, Ifeabata Anaocha, also noted that Governor Soludo remains one of the best-performing leaders, judging by the numerous developmental projects executed during his first tenure.
On what he expects from Governor Soludo during his second term, Anyaorah stated that he has no doubt about the governor’s ability to deliver.
According to him, the governor’s first tenure had already produced results that positively impacted the entire state.
He added that Governor Soludo, in his inaugural address, demonstrated readiness to surpass his first-term performance.
Chief Anyaorah expressed confidence that the governor would succeed in implementing his planned programmes, which include the provision of power to address the state’s recurring electricity challenges; industrialisation aimed at job creation; introduction of a light rail transportation system to tackle high transportation costs; and further efforts to strengthen security.
“I have no doubt that Governor Soludo is going to develop Anambra State further. I like his passion for the development of the state. He is doing well—let him continue. We in APGA are proud of him; he should carry on,” he said.
