GUU Inducts Medical Doctors, Laboratory Scientists

Gregory University Uturu (GUU) is set to hold a double-header induction ceremony for its graduating medical students and medical laboratory science graduates.

The university  invited the public to witness the oath-taking ceremony of the extended fourth cohort of Medical Doctors, alongside the induction of its first set of Medical Laboratory Science graduates.

According to a statement signed by the Registrar of the university, Vincent Maliki, the ceremonies will take place on Friday, April 10, 2026, at two separate venues on campus: the Dr. Goodluck Jonathan Auditorium and the Hon. Justice Izima Chambers.

The first ceremony, scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at the Dr. Goodluck Jonathan Auditorium, will feature the induction of 35 Medical Doctors, who will take the Hippocratic Oath administered by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).

The second ceremony, scheduled for 11:00 a.m. at the Hon. Justice Izima Chambers, will witness the oath-taking of 16 Medical Laboratory Scientists. 

This induction will be conducted under the supervision of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).

All inductees and their guests have been advised to arrive promptly at their respective venues to ensure the smooth commencement of proceedings.

The university management expressed its anticipation of a grand double-header celebration, highlighting the academic achievements of its students and reinforcing GUU’s growing reputation as a leading institution for medical education and scholarship in Nigeria.
