Igboebisi Praises Soludo’s Leadership, Construction of CWC Centre in Oba

By Polycarp Ifeanyi

A frontline aspirant for the Idemili North and South Federal House of Representatives seat under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Dr. Kene Igboebisi, has commended Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo for the ongoing construction of the Coordinated Wholesale Centre (CWC) in Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State.

In a statement made available to journalists, Igboebisi noted that the CWC project, which spans over 50 hectares, is not just another infrastructure initiative but a deliberate restructuring of how pharmaceutical trade operates in Nigeria.

According to him, drug distribution in the country has for decades been plagued by fragmentation, weak regulation, and dangerous informal markets where counterfeit and substandard drugs thrive. He stated that the CWC directly confronts these challenges at their root by consolidating wholesale activities into a single, regulated ecosystem. This, he explained, introduces traceability, quality control, and accountability into a sector where lapses can cost lives.

Dr. Igboebisi, a medical practitioner, added that beyond its public health benefits, the economic implications of the CWC are substantial.

He stressed that the centre is positioned to become a national hub for pharmaceutical commerce—attracting investment, formalising thousands of businesses, creating jobs, and strengthening Anambra State’s standing as a commercial powerhouse.

He reiterated that Professor Soludo has a clear vision for the state, noting that the construction of the Coordinated Wholesale Centre (CWC) exemplifies how policy can translate into tangible economic architecture.

Dr. Igboebisi further emphasised that Soludo’s economic approach reflects the true nature of strategic governance—identifying systemic problems, designing structural solutions, and executing them at scale.

He added that governance should not be about rhetoric or seasonal projects, but about building systems that outlast political cycles.

“The obvious question then becomes: if the pathway is clear, why are other leaders not studying and replicating this model? Why do many still operate within short-term, low-impact frameworks when evidence of long-term transformation is unfolding in real time?” Dr. Igboebisi queried.

He also stated that there is a clear distinction between merely occupying public office and actively engineering progress.

He noted that the ongoing Coordinated Wholesale Centre (CWC) project in Oba serves as a compelling case study of the latter.

He  asserted  that Governor Soludo is not merely governing but redefining what effective leadership should deliver.
