Anambra First Lady Visits 13-Year-Old HIV Patient, Donates Relief Materials
The wife of the Anambra State Governor, Dr Nonye Soludo, has donated relief materials and financial support to a 13-year-old girl currently receiving treatment for Advanced HIV Disease.
Mrs Soludo made the donation during a visit to the young patient at a hospital in Awka.
The governor’s wife, who is also the founder of the Healthy Living Initiative, said the visit was part of the organisation’s commitment to supporting vulnerable persons across communities in the state.
According to her, the initiative provided essential supplies to support the girl’s nutrition and daily welfare, alongside financial assistance aimed at easing the burden of her treatment and recovery process.

“We remain dedicated to showing up for those who need us most.”she said.
Mrs Soludo also commended the Anambra State AIDS Control Agency (ANSACA) for drawing her attention to the case.
She stressed the need for collective efforts in building healthier and stronger communities through compassion, care, and sustained support for vulnerable groups.
Also speaking, the Executive Director and Project Manager of ANSACA, Dr Nkem Okeke, appreciated the governor’s wife for her prompt intervention and support towards the young patient’s treatment and overall welfare.
