Otti Opens Door to Aviation Investment in Abia
Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to creating a business-friendly environment as the state pushes forward with its ambitious airport project.
Speaking through his Chief of Staff, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, during a meeting with officials of Skymaster Achievers International Services Limited and Estonia-based ElectroAir, the governor pledged support for partnerships that will strengthen the state’s emerging aviation sector.
Otti expressed readiness to collaborate with the firms in providing critical ground handling equipment for the soon-to-be-completed Abia Airport. He noted that the project forms part of a broader vision to transform Abia into a regional aviation and logistics hub capable of boosting trade, reducing freight costs, and attracting foreign investment.
ElectroAir’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Aleksandr Skrebnev, revealed plans to establish Nigeria’s first ElectroAir assembly and maintenance facility in Abia, citing the state’s growing industrial appeal. Skymaster CEO Princewill Ogbonna said the proposed facility could create jobs, attract foreign direct investment, and position Abia as a leader in aviation technology and advanced manufacturing.
Governor Otti assured investors that the state has put in place the necessary structures, including a Public-Private Partnership framework, to support sustainable investment, declaring that “Abia is ready for business.”
