Nigerian Pilgrim Returns Missing N8.2 Million to Russian Owner in Makkah

A Nigerian pilgrim from Plateau State, identified as Hajiya Zainab, has returned a missing sum of $5,000 to its Russian owner in Saudi Arabia.

According to reports, the amount is approximately N8,240,000, based on an exchange rate of N1,648 per US dollar.

The money was discovered by the pilgrim at Masjid al-Haram in Makkah on Tuesday.

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and the Plateau State Pilgrims Board, led by Hon. Daiyabu Dauda, have confirmed the incident.

“She demonstrated exceptional integrity and honesty by returning $5,000 she found at Masjid al-Haram to its rightful owner. That is a remarkable act of kindness,” Dauda said.
