Rt. Hon. Dr. Paschal Arinzechukwu Agbodike, member of the House of Representatives representing Ihiala Federal Constituency and the caucus leader of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the 10th National Assembly, has congratulated the National Chairman of APGA, Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, on the occasion of his two-year anniversary in office.
Agbodike, who also serves as the Secretary of the Southern Nigeria Caucus in the House and a member of the ECOWAS Parliament, described Barr. Ezeokenwa as a resilient and indefatigable leader.
He commended the chairman’s determination in overcoming complex legal battles that threatened the party’s stability, noting that his victory is deserving of wide recognition and deep appreciation.
According to Agbodike, celebrating Ezeokenwa’s leadership is both necessary and justified, particularly in light of the concerted efforts by detractors to destabilize the party.
He emphasized that despite numerous challenges and what he termed “malignant maneuvers” by political adversaries, the APGA National Chairman prevailed, thanks to his unwavering resolve and the backing of the party’s National Leader, Governor Charles Soludo.
“If the pendulum had swung the other way, our enemies would have laughed us to scorn,” “But God, in His infinite mercy, did not allow that to happen.”Agbodike stated.
He used the opportunity to extend his gratitude to all members of the party’s National Working Committee, State Working Committees, and others who have worked in alignment with Barr. Ezeokenwa to uphold the core values and guiding principles of APGA,particularly the spirit of unity, justice, and mutual care.
Affirming his belief in APGA as Nigeria’s leading progressive political party, Agbodike stressed that its leadership and members remain committed to national development and people-oriented governance.
He prayed for continued wisdom and resilience for the National Chairman as he steers the party through present and future challenges.
“APGA is more than just a political party; it is a movement founded on equity, justice, and the well-being of the people,” he said. “Its mission is to consistently serve humanity with integrity.”he said .
Agbodike also expressed appreciation to well-meaning Nigerians who support APGA’s vision and programmes.
He reaffirmed his loyalty to the party, declaring unequivocally that he would never defect—regardless of political pressure or adversity.
Reflecting on past struggles, Agbodike recalled how, during internal party crises, he remained steadfast.
He accompanied the National Chairman personally not by proxy to all legal proceedings, from the High Court to the Supreme Court, in a show of solidarity and commitment to the party’s cause.
He credited Governor Soludo and the legal team for their unrelenting support, adding that their victory was not just legal but moral and symbolic.
Furthermore, Agbodike extended special appreciation to former APGA National Chairman, Ozonkpu Victor Ike Oye, praising his consistent efforts in defending the party’s legacy and direction. He offered prayers for continued blessings upon all APGA members as they prepare for the forthcoming Anambra South senatorial by-election and the November 8 gubernatorial election, expressing strong optimism about the party’s success at the polls.
