Ukachukwu Is Politically Obsolete in Anambra – APGA Fires Warning Ahead of 2025

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has described the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Anambra State, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, as politically disconnected from the realities of Anambra politics, predicting a humiliating defeat for him in the upcoming 2025 governorship election.
Responding to Ukachukwu’s recent declaration that, “President Tinubu has mandated me to deliver Anambra to the APC, and that I must do,” the Coordinator of the APGA Media Warriors Forum, Evangelist Chinedu Obigwe, said Ukachukwu is still adrift in the turbulent waters of Anambra politics and will remain so until the re-election of Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo is formally announced after the November 8, 2025, polls.
Evang. Obigwe, popularly known as Akaekpuchionwa and Chinyelugo I of Ogbaru, firmly rejected Ukachukwu’s claim of presidential backing, asserting that Ukachukwu is not President Tinubu’s spokesman and has no official capacity to speak on behalf of the President.
“The only individuals authorized to speak for President Tinubu on political matters are his official media aides, such as Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, and Barrister Daniel Bwala. Ukachukwu is clearly positioning himself as an unofficial mouthpiece, perhaps eyeing their jobs,” Obigwe remarked.
He further dismissed Ukachukwu’s boast as politically delusional.
“The so-called presidential mandate is nothing short of a herculean fantasy,” “This is the same Ukachukwu who couldn’t even deliver himself during the 2023 Anambra South Senatorial election where he was thoroughly defeated by the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah.”he said.
Obigwe recounted the events of the 2023 election, alleging that Ukachukwu only managed to manipulate results in his hometown, Osumenyi, and attempted to force the collation officer to accept the skewed figures.
“Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, having already won in virtually all seven local government areas in Anambra South, jokingly told Ukachukwu to keep the manipulated Osumenyi result , knowing it would not change the outcome,”
“Therefore, if President Tinubu indeed asked Ukachukwu to ‘deliver’ Anambra to the APC, he has simply assigned him an impossible mission.”he said.
Obigwe declared that Governor Soludo will decisively defeat Ukachukwu in the November 8 election.
“The margin will be wide. Anambra voters will resist any attempt at electoral malpractice with the last drop of their blood. The people are determined to re-elect Governor Soludo, who has transformed Anambra into a model state and elevated our status among Nigeria’s federating units.”he said .
He also challenged Ukachukwu’s claim of wanting to ‘align Anambra to the centre,’ describing it as a redundant narrative.
“Governor Soludo already has a harmonious working relationship with President Tinubu. When the President visited Anambra, he approved all of Soludo’s requests for the benefit of the state , a clear testament to the Governor’s alignment with the federal government and his effective leadership.” Obigwe said.
Obigwe noted with a firm declaration: “President Tinubu himself has acknowledged that Anambra is rising under the competent leadership of his friend, Governor Soludo. As far as the November 8 election is concerned, there is no vacancy in Agu Awka. It’s Soludo till March 17, 2030 or nothing.”
