Either Peter Obi for President 2027 or Tinubu Continues — Obidient Movement

Members of the South East Obidient Movement, led by the South East Leader and member of the National Advisory Council of the Obidient Movement, Comrade Ikenna Azomchine (known as The Obidient General), have declared their solid support for Peter Obi’s presidential bid in 2027.

According to Comrade Azomchine, they will not accept the vice-presidential position, emphasizing that it is either Peter Obi becomes President or Tinubu continues as President.

This declaration was made during an exclusive stakeholders’ meeting held in Awka, the capital of Anambra State.

“We will not settle for the vice-presidential position. It’s either Peter Obi becomes President, or Tinubu continues,” Comrade Azomchine stated.

He also confirmed that the group has not endorsed any candidate for the November 8 governorship election in Anambra State.

The Movement noted that there is no consensus candidate for the Labour Party in the upcoming Anambra State governorship election scheduled for November 8.

At the meeting, Comrade Azomchine clarified that the Obidient Movement has not endorsed any candidate in the Anambra governorship race.

He criticized individuals who, while claiming to be executives of the Obidient Movement in Anambra State, have prematurely endorsed several candidates.

He reiterated the Movement’s unwavering commitment to supporting Peter Obi in his bid to become President of Nigeria.

“We will not settle for the vice-presidential position. It’s either Peter Obi becomes President, or Tinubu continues,” Comrade Azomchine reiterated.

The Obidient General reaffirmed the group’s continued support for Peter Obi, regardless of the political party under which he chooses to run in the 2027 presidential election.

He also called for unity, passion, and dedication among members.

Mr. Vigilus Anukanti, a member of the Imo State Obidient Movement Committee, addressed the meeting, emphasizing the importance of solidarity and strategic engagement.

Barrister Eucharia Ezeukwu of the Anambra Obidient Movement Committee highlighted the vital role women play in advancing the Movement’s goals and ensuring the fulfillment of its mandate.

Ms. Ijeoma Uzodinma, National Coordinator of the Great Grassroot Ambassadors, urged all Obidients to rise above the defeatist mindset that is being subtly spread through discouraging statements aimed at fostering apathy and complacency.

In a separate remark, Comrade Chidi Nzekwe, a stakeholder and former Anambra State lead coordinator of the Obidient Movement, encouraged members to actively participate in politics by contesting for elective positions. He stressed the importance of effective mobilization in support of Peter Obi and other credible candidates, emphasizing the need to secure a lasting legacy for future generations.

The meeting concluded with an interactive session during which Obidients from different political parties proposed improved strategies to engage citizens and reignite their commitment to supporting Peter Obi’s presidential bid in the 2027 election.
