The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State has announced its decision to adopt a grassroots-focused strategy for the upcoming November 8, 2025, governorship election.

Speaking at the party’s state secretariat on Thursday, the APC governorship candidate, Evangelist Nicholas Ukachukwu, who inaugurated 52 grassroots support groups drawn from the 21 Local Government Areas of the state revealed the party’s strategy.

According to him,the party’s campaign will be rooted in community-level engagement and voter mobilization.

“Our campaign strategy will begin at the LGA level and extend to all 326 wards and the 5,720 polling units across Anambra State,” Ukachukwu said.

He urged party members to take personal ownership of the campaign efforts in their respective communities. “Don’t give me a strategy to win the state; give me the strategy to win your polling units and wards. If we succeed in each ward and polling unit, we will win the entire state.”he added.

Ukachukwu also charged all APC members and supporters to act as campaign directors in their localities.

He assured the people of Anambra that, if elected, his administration would deliver purposeful and people-centered governance.

Addressing the over 980 members of the newly inaugurated support groups, Ukachukwu called on them to intensify grassroots mobilization efforts and encourage citizens to safeguard their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).

“Our National Secretariat and Mr. President have entrusted us with the mandate to reclaim Anambra for the APC. We must not fail,” he added.

In a notable development, Mr. Fabian Ozigbo, a former Head of Logistics for the Labour Party (LP) in Anambra State, led a faction of LP members to the APC event, pledging their support for Ukachukwu’s candidacy.

“I am delighted to align with Evangelist Ukachukwu and the APC because I believe they have a credible vision and real solutions for the future of Anambra State,” Ozigbo stated.

He expressed confidence in the APC’s ability to secure victory in the November 8 election.

With the incorporation of diverse grassroots structures and growing political alliances, the APC aims to mount a formidable challenge in the forthcoming election, seeking to end the long-standing control of opposition parties in the state.
