Isiala Ngwa North LGA Inspects New Legislative Quarters Under Construction

A team from the Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area of Abia State recently conducted an inspection visit to the ongoing construction site of the new legislative quarters for council members.

The delegation was led by the Supervisor for Works, Honorable Clement Ugorji, who stated that the visit aimed to assess the level of progress on the project.

This development was disclosed in a statement issued by the Media and Publicity Office of the 7th Legislative Council and made available to our correspondent on Friday.

Speaking during the visit, Hon. Ugorji emphasized that the legislative quarters are being constructed to provide a conducive and comfortable accommodation for lawmakers, thereby enhancing their ability to perform their duties effectively.

“Good accommodation is one of the key factors that contribute to increased productivity among council members,” “This was a preliminary site inspection of the location where the new legislative building is currently under construction.”he noted.
Hon. Ugorji was accompanied by several members of the 7th Legislative Council, including the Leader, Hon. Alvan Chima; Deputy Leader, Hon. Victor Onwere; Majority Leader, Hon. Nnamdi Uwaoma; Chief Whip, Hon. Victor Ikeokwu; Deputy Majority Leader, Hon. Anita Odinkemere; and other council members such as Hon. Otokocha Nelson (Ngwa Ukwu Ward 6), Hon. Ochionu Ugochukwu (Ward 7), Hon. Chinyere Obediah, and Hon. Addee Onuoha.
According to Hon. Ugorji, the inspection is part of the council’s oversight responsibilities to ensure that the project progresses according to approved plans, timelines, and construction standards.
