Orumba South Mayor Leads Door-to-Door Campaign to Re-Elect Soludo

The Mayor of Orumba South Local Government Area in Anambra State, Mr. Shedrack Azubuike, has announced that his council has commenced a door-to-door campaign to support the re-election bid of Governor Charles Soludo.

Speaking during the campaign rally on Friday, he explained that the exercise is part of efforts to mobilize massive support for Soludo’s victory in the November 8 governorship election.

 According to him, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) recognizes the crucial role of grassroots mobilization in securing Soludo’s re-election, hence the door-to-door campaign to win voter support.

Azubuike stated that Anambra State has witnessed transformational leadership under Prof. Soludo over the past three years.
“Governor Soludo deserves our support to consolidate his achievements. He has carried out numerous development projects across the state aimed at improving the lives of residents.
“We are going door-to-door informing people that a vote for Soludo is a vote for continuity and good governance.
“We assure the people that if re-elected, the governor will continue to deliver more dividends of democracy.
“So, we urge residents of Anambra to come out en masse on November 8 and vote for Soludo’s victory,” he said.

Azubuike stated that Orumba South LGA has greatly benefited from Governor Soludo’s administration.

Azubuike, who previously served as the transition committee chairman of Orumba South and was elected executive chairman last year on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), highlighted his achievements over the past year.

 He pledged to continue supporting Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration and to ensure his re-election in the November 8 governorship election.

He also outlined a series of impactful projects and initiatives executed under his leadership  designed to improve residents’ welfare across the 18 wards of the LGA.

“Within one year as Chairman of Orumba South Local Government Area, we have recorded numerous achievements, including infrastructural projects, empowerment initiatives, and distribution of essential items.
“These achievements include the construction and conversion of Nkwo Triangle into a central park for motorcycle and tricycle operators; grading and sand-filling of major roads within the local government; construction of a 220-meter erosion control structure at Okukoro Ajaekpe by Orie Nwaohadu, Ndikpa Umunze; and the equipping of Amuda Primary Health Center.
“Other projects include the ongoing construction and equipping of a modern ICT centre at the LG Secretariat, initiation of sweeping major roads within the Local Government Headquarters, and distribution of agricultural inputs such as cassava stem cuttings, 9,000 yam seedlings, and 4,000 pieces of improved maize seeds.”he noted.

Azubuike added that through the Nwabugo Empowerment Foundation, about five Orumba South youths have been empowered with vulcanizing machines. 

“Currently, documentation is ongoing for training Orumba South youths in cyber security, programming, tailoring, agriculture, welding, and other skills” he said.

He also revealed that Mr. Nnaemeka Okoliofor was empowered with a 1 million Naira grant through the foundation to start a business, among other initiatives. 

Azubuike further noted that his interventions have contributed to improved security in the area.
