Anambra By-Election: Police Lock Down Flashpoints

The Anambra State Police Command has fortified flashpoints and other sensitive areas with personnel and equipment to ensure adequate security coverage before, during, and after Saturday’s by-election.
In a statement issued by the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the reinforcement is intended to strengthen the existing security architecture across the affected areas and ensure a hitch-free, peaceful, and credible electoral process.
According to Ikenga, the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Godwin Eze who is the Supervisory Officer in charge of the by-election has assured residents of adequate security throughout the exercise.
Eze also urged Ndi Anambra to remain law-abiding, cooperate with security personnel, and exercise their civic responsibility freely and without fear or intimidation.
The Command reiterated its unwavering commitment to neutrality, professionalism, and the protection of lives and property throughout the electoral process.
