Governor of Anambra State Prof Charles Soludo inspects Golf Residency Estate in Awka

As part of his administration’s commitment to addressing the housing deficit in Anambra State, Governor Chukwuma Soludo, over the weekend, conducted a scheduled inspection of the Golf Residency Estate in Awka.
The visit underscores his administration’s resolve to partner with the private sector in delivering affordable and sustainable housing solutions for the people of Anambra.
The Golf Residency Estate is one of the key developments along the newly constructed road corridor passing through Amansea, Awa, Ndiukwuenu, and Ufuma communities.
This rapidly developing zone has been designated the “New Awka City,” envisioned as a strategic solution to decongest the already overcrowded Awka urban center.
During the inspection of the expansive estate, Governor Soludo engaged with key stakeholders,including developers, government officials, and prospective homeowners,on the state government’s vision of promoting high living standards and environmentally conscious urban planning.
The initiative aligns with his broader goal of transforming Anambra into a livable, functional, and sustainable homeland.
“I came here to see the progress firsthand and assess plans for future projects that will enhance access to quality housing in the region,” “Ours is a dream with a deadline. We’re not leaving any sector behind,tackling the housing deficit and raising the standard of living are part of that vision.”Governor Soludo said.
Earlier, Mr. Emeka Onwuocha, Director of Rainbow Heritage Group,the developer of Golf Residency Estate received the governor and highlighted the estate’s design features.
He noted that the development blends modern architecture with green spaces and is intended to serve as a model for future housing projects across the state.
“Upon completion, the Golf Residency Estate will provide hundreds of housing units, ranging from affordable apartments to upscale villas,” “The project caters to a wide spectrum of income levels and reflects Governor Soludo’s strategy of inclusive development,ensuring that no one is left behind in the pursuit of better living conditions” Onwuocha explained.
