Anambra Military Veterans Commend AIG Zone 13 for Strategic Leadership, Security Efforts — Promise Partnership

The Nigerian Legion (Military Veterans), Anambra State Council (NLASC), has lauded the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 13 Ukpo, AIG Abayomi Peter Oladipo, for his unwavering commitment and strategic leadership in strengthening security across the zone.
The council also pledged to deepen its collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force, Zone 13 Headquarters, Ukpo, to support ongoing efforts in combating insecurity within the region.

The commendation was made during a courtesy visit to the AIG by a delegation of military veterans led by the Assistant Commandant General (ACG) of the Nigerian Legion, Benedict Ezeaku Agbogu.
Zone 13 covers Anambra and Enugu States.
During the visit, ACG Agbogu emphasized that the purpose of the courtesy call was to foster a mutually beneficial working relationship between the Nigerian Legion and the Nigeria Police Force.
According to him, the collaboration aims to bolster the fight against violent crime and enhance public safety.
Agbogu praised AIG Oladipo’s proactive approach to policing and applauded his strategic initiatives in tackling crime across the zone.
He noted that military veterans, with their vast field experience and discipline, are well-positioned to support ongoing security efforts particularly in intelligence gathering and community engagement.
In his response, AIG Abayomi Peter Oladipo expressed appreciation for the visit and described the veterans as “invaluable national assets.”
He said that their wealth of experience and commitment to national service could significantly enhance the existing security architecture.
He assured the delegation of the Police Force’s readiness to partner with the Nigerian Legion, while urging them to maintain legal and coordinated approaches in their operations, especially in intelligence sharing.
The meeting concluded with both parties reaffirming their joint commitment to curbing violent crimes, improving public safety, and sustaining peace across Anambra State and the wider Zone 13 area.
Details of the visit were made available to the media by CSP Ihunwo Josephine K. ANIPR, the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, Zone 13 Headquarters, Ukpo.
Other members of the Nigerian Legion delegation included senior military veterans such as the Council Secretary, Captain Mike Onwudinjo, KSJI, MNSE.
