The Chairman of Ohaozara Local Government Area in Ebonyi State, Hon. Aja Chinonso, has called on youths in the state to continue supporting the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and that of the state governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Nwifuru.

Hon. Chinonso made this appeal during a press briefing with journalists to mark Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary and the 29th anniversary of Ebonyi State’s creation.

He described President Tinubu’s administration as visionary, stressing that it is steering the country towards sustainable economic growth.

“That is why I’m using this opportunity to urge the youths of Ebonyi to remain steadfast in their support for Mr. President. The Tinubu-led administration is visionary and is gradually guiding Nigeria onto the path of significant economic development. We, the youth, stand to benefit the most from these reforms,” he said.

He further encouraged the youth to extend their support to Governor Nwifuru and other leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

“Governor Nwifuru’s administration is youth-oriented. As a fellow youth, I can attest that he has empowered young people more than any other group in the state. He has restored peace and unity across Ebonyi and is actively constructing roads and bridges in various communities — including many in Ohaozara that had previously been neglected.

These projects align with the true dreams of our founding fathers,” Chinonso added.

Highlighting achievements within his own administration, the council chairman listed several projects executed in Ohaozara Local Government Area.

“These include the construction of roads, classrooms to improve teaching and learning in both primary and secondary schools, the payment of school fees for final-year secondary and tertiary students, as well as the building and equipping of primary healthcare centres, among others.” he added.

He tied the celebrations of independence and state creation together:“As we annually commemorate this historic day of national freedom, we also celebrate another significant milestone — October 1st, 1996 — the day our dear state, Ebonyi, was created”
