The Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Soludo, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to transforming the state into a hub of economic and social prosperity.
In a statement issued by the Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Christian Aburime, Soludo declared that Anambra is shifting “from a departure lounge to a destination point.”
The governor made the statement during his reelection campaign rally in Idemili North local government area of the state.
He also assured supporters that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) remains resolute in its commitment to conducting free, fair, and credible elections, asserting that the guiding principle must be “One man, one vote.”
Soludo expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of Idemili North for their unwavering support ahead of the November 8th governorship election.
Speaking passionately to a gathered crowd during the flag-off of the local government campaign in Nkpor, the governor reflected on the party’s impressive performance in the area during the previous election cycle.
“We are here to ostensibly say thank you. In 2021, Idemili North gave us a decisive victory,” Soludo said, underscoring the critical role the constituency has played in APGA’s electoral successes.
The governor also drew attention to what he described as a significant transformation within Anambra’s political landscape.
“Something phenomenal is happening in Anambra State, where communities are sponsoring campaigns by themselves. The people are taking over the campaign. It is the people’s movement,” he said.
Commending the stakeholders of Idemili North, Soludo stated, “I appreciate the stakeholders of Idemili North. In all sectors, Anambra is rising.”
He reiterated his administration’s vision for the state’s future, emphasizing his mission to reposition Anambra from a point of departure to a thriving destination for investment, innovation, and inclusive growth.
Echoing the governor’s sentiments, the Mayor of Idemili North, Engr. Stanley Nkwoka, and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government and Community Affairs, Mr. Asha Nnabuife, stressed the importance of community representation in the electoral process. They noted that attendees at the rally were drawn directly from polling units across the area, further highlighting the deep political engagement of the people of Idemili North.
Various groups, including Solution Teachers, market vendors, beneficiaries of the One Youth, Two Skills initiative, and commercial tricycle (Keke) operators, expressed their appreciation to Governor Soludo for his administration’s transformational impact across key sectors of the state’s economy.
