Protest:Anambra Police Commend Ndi Anambra for Peaceful Conduct Amidst Concerns

The Anambra State Police Command has praised the residents of the state for their peaceful approach in addressing concerns, emphasizing their commitment to dialogue over disruption.

In a statement issued on Sunday by the Public Relations Officer, SP Ikenga Tochukwu, the Command revealed that it recently conducted a comprehensive security assessment in response to credible intelligence indicating plans for protests in certain areas of the state.

The assessment found that residents,particularly Ndi Anambra have consistently chosen peaceful engagement and dialogue to express their grievances, rejecting unpatriotic actions such as protests, unlawful sit-at-home orders, or any form of civil unrest that could disrupt public peace and socio-economic activities.

The statement further commended the people of Anambra for their growing dedication to peace, unity, and progress. It assured the public that adequate security measures have been put in place to sustain the prevailing peace and enable law-abiding citizens to carry on with their daily activities without fear or hindrance.

Commissioner of Police CP Ikioye Orutugu reiterated the Command’s commitment to proactive security measures, enhanced community policing, and collaboration with key stakeholders to maintain law, order, and security throughout the state.
