SWAN Congratulates Gov. Soludo on Overwhelming Re-election Victory
The Anambra State Chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has congratulated the Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, on his resounding victory in the November 8, 2025, gubernatorial election.
In a statement jointly signed by the Chairman, Comrade Chimezie Anaso, and the Secretary, Comrade Uche Ndeke, on behalf of the leadership and members of SWAN Anambra State Chapter, the association expressed immense joy and extended its warmest felicitations to Governor Soludo on his decisive electoral triumph.
According to the statement, the victory,officially declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday was a clear testament to the overwhelming confidence reposed in Soludo’s leadership.
The governor, the statement noted, secured a commanding majority of votes across all 21 Local Government Areas of the state, underscoring his broad-based acceptance and popularity.
SWAN described the victory as “a unanimous endorsement of the Soludo administration and an eloquent affirmation of his visionary leadership, transformative policies, and steadfast commitment to the progress and prosperity of Anambra State.”

This achievement is a strong validation of the trust and confidence the people have in your administrative acumen, people-oriented governance, and unwavering dedication to development.”the statement read,
The association further emphasized its pride in partnering with the Soludo administration, particularly in advancing the growth and development of sports in Anambra State.
The group also reaffirmed its readiness to continue working collaboratively with the government to actualize the Solution Agenda for Sports, which aims to harness the potential of the state’s vibrant youth population through sporting opportunities.
SWAN commended the remarkable strides made in the sports sector during Soludo’s first term, including grassroots sports development initiatives, improved sports infrastructure, and the revival of local competitions that have re-energized community participation.
“We urge you, Your Excellency, to build on these achievements with even greater vigour in your second term,”

SWAN also encouraged the governor to continue leveraging sports as a tool for social cohesion, youth engagement, and economic growth, while promoting healthy lifestyles and unity among Ndi Anambra.
The association congratulated Governor Soludo once again on his re-election and pledged its continued partnership in advancing the cause of sports and good governance in the state.
