Gov. Nwifuru’s re-election: Group vows to mobilize one million youths

Group under the umbrella of Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru Youths Organization (FON) yesterday pledged to mobilize over 1million youths to vote for the re-election of the Ebonyi state governor in 2027.

The group further vowed to continue supporting the administration of the governor, owing to his youth initiated programmes across the 13 local government areas of the state.

The Youths led by Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on youth Mobilisation, Comrade Emerike Chinedu made this known during an interview with Insideoutnews in Abakaliki, the state capital.

According to him,” Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru (FON) youth organization has come to stay and are determined to spring surprises come 2027 elections.

“And one among these surprises is to see the successful return of governor Francis Nwifuru to Ebonyi state government house in 2027 elections.

“Presently, we have engage in sensitization of youth from 18 years upward to obtain their voters cards ahead of 2027 elections. And we are also targeting at less one million youths across the 13 local government areas.

“Why is because of our recent findings which reveals that some local government in this state has not less than 75,000 population of youth.

“Also, is the fact that governor Nwifuru’s led administration is youth inclusive. So many youths are ready for him.

“He has empowered over 5,000 youths across the 13 local government areas in agriculture, skills acquisition, employment and maintained paying monthly stipend to youth.

“As I matter of fact that is what I have come here to disburse and this has been happening for months now.

“This cut across all the 13 local Government areas in the State and we are very happy with this development cos this has gone a long way in curbing insecurity in the state,” he said.

Chinedu further charged youths in the state to join hands in championing the re-election of Francis Nwifuru in 2027 elections.

Similarly, two of the Beneficiaries of the monthly stipend, Mr Nwite Shedrack from Ohaukwu Local Government Area and Nwankpu Ndubuisi in Abakaliki Local Government Area said they were grateful to FON leaders and to the state governor who has deemed it necessary to include the Youths in all their activities.
