Anambra APC Salutes President Tinubu for Rewarding Party Loyalty in Appointments
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra South Senatorial District has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for prioritizing party loyalty in his recent appointments, ensuring that loyal members are rewarded in line with his national agenda.
Historically, members of the party, especially in Anambra State, have lamented that after every general election, they are often sidelined, while non-party members and those opposed to the APC are appointed to key positions.
This has, in the past, led to frustration among loyal party members who feel their support and commitment to the party have not been duly recognized.
In light of this, the APC Anambra South Senatorial District Chapter is pleased to congratulate one of their own, Dr. Nnoli Nkechi Gloria, on her appointment as Anambra State’s representative to the Federal Character Commission (FCC).
The nomination of Dr. Nnoli was recently approved by the National Assembly, alongside other state representatives from across the country.
Her appointment has been widely celebrated by APC members in Anambra South as a well-deserved recognition of her dedication and contributions to the party.
In a statement signed by the Chairman of APC in Anambra South Senatorial District, Comrade Izuchukwu Okeke, and the Secretary, Comrade Uche Nkonye, the party expressed confidence that Dr. Nnoli’s wealth of experience would ensure the state is effectively represented at the federal level.
“We are extremely pleased that Dr. Nnoli Nkechi Gloria’s nomination was approved by the Senate. Her extensive background in public service will undoubtedly contribute to the achievement of the Commission’s vision and mission, ensuring fairness and equity in the allocation of federal appointments and positions,” the statement read.
The APC leadership also expressed gratitude to President Tinubu and the National Assembly for recognizing Dr. Nnoli’s capabilities and selecting her to represent the interests of Anambra State at the national level.
Okeke emphasized that her appointment is a testament to the reward for loyalty within the APC, noting that it marks a shift from past practices where positions were often given to non-party members who had not been part of the party’s growth.
“This appointment is a clear indication that loyalty and service to the party are now being justly rewarded. Dr. Nnoli is not just a member of the APC; she is a foundational figure who has been with the party since its inception, from the Action Congress (AC) to the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), and now, the All Progressives Congress (APC),” “In the past, national appointments were often given to those who had not contributed to the party’s development, but today, President Tinubu has made a significant shift by appointing a true party loyalist.”Okeke remarked.
Okeke further urged Dr. Nnoli to continue representing the state with integrity and honor. “We are confident that she will be a proud ambassador for Anambra State and will continue to build on the trust that the Federal Government and the APC have placed in her.”
The APC leadership also emphasized that Dr. Nnoli’s appointment would further strengthen Anambra State’s position at the national level, contributing to the fair representation of all regions in the federal government’s decision-making processes.
“We urge Dr. Nnoli to remain focused and committed to serving both the state and the country, maintaining the confidence that has been placed in her by the federal government and the APC,” they added.
