The Awka-Etiti community in Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State is set to witness another round of spiritual and socio-economic upliftment as the Lucky Adimike Foundation prepares to host the second edition of its Faithspiration Initiative Night of Praise, Worship, and Mega Empowerment.
The programme is scheduled for January 2, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Awka-Etiti, and will commence at 6:00 p.m., running through the night until dawn.
The Lucky Adimike Foundation, led by renowned businessman and community philanthropist Lucky Adimike, is committed to empowering individuals and families through the provision of food items, financial assistance, business support, scholarships, healthcare interventions, and church development initiatives.
Over time, the foundation has consistently distributed foodstuffs to vulnerable families to cushion the effects of prevailing economic hardship. It has also supported small- and medium-scale entrepreneurs with seed capital, awarded scholarships to students, provided healthcare assistance, empowered churches, and presented monetary awards to Block Rosary centres across parishes in Awka-Etiti.
During its empowerment programme held on December 26, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Awka-Etiti, the foundation distributed 50 bags of 50kg rice to two religious bodies, while 400 bags of rice and beans were shared among 200 families. In addition, 10 laptops were donated to Fr. Paul Secondary School, Awka-Etiti.
Furthermore, over 40 individuals were empowered with ₦1 million each as seed capital to support their businesses. One family also benefited from the donation of a residential house, among other empowerment interventions. The final phase of the empowerment programme is scheduled for January 2, 2026.
According to reports, Lucky Adimike is motivated by a desire to appreciate God for His blessings upon his business, family, and life, while deploying his God-given resources to positively impact society.
The initiative, which commenced last year, integrates spiritual, social, and economic empowerment. Recently, Adimike sponsored the promotion of Marian devotion across all parishes in Awka-Etiti, strengthened Block Rosary centres, paid school fees for children, and rewarded outstanding rosary groups.
He has also settled hospital bills for indigent residents of Awka-Etiti at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, including women who delivered both through normal birth and caesarean section.
The Night of Praise is designed as a blend of evangelisation, entertainment, and empowerment, featuring praise and worship sessions, prayers, and inspirational messages aimed at attracting participants and transforming lives.
On January 2, 2026, the final empowerment items will be presented to beneficiaries, with the scope extending beyond the Awka-Etiti community. A total of 45 beneficiaries are expected to receive various empowerment packages.
Priests expected to minister at the programme include Rev. Fr. Joshua Obiekezie, Rev. Fr. Barrister Johnbosco Igwe, and the Parish Priest of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Paul Ifebighi, alongside other Catholic and Anglican priests from Awka-Etiti.
The event will also feature performances by popular comedians and gospel artistes, including Chief Imo, Albino Brothers, Igwe White, motivational speaker Chief Polycarp Onwuka, Miracle Chisom, Chioma Ezefeta, Sir Timothy Ofoegbu, and others.
