Yuletide Security: Anambra CP Orutugu Applauds Police, Calls for Public Support

The Anambra State Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, has commended police operatives of the Command and other security agencies for their dedication, courage, and professionalism during the Yuletide security operations across the state.
CP Orutugu stated that the strong synergy between the Police Command, sister security agencies, and other security stakeholders was instrumental in ensuring the peaceful celebrations witnessed throughout the festive period.
In a statement issued on Monday by the Command’s spokesperson, SP Ikenga Tochukwu, the Commissioner of Police expressed appreciation to Ndi Anambra for their cooperation, vigilance, and continuous support, noting that effective community partnership remains central to successful policing.
As the state ushers in the New Year 2026, CP Orutugu called on residents to further deepen their cooperation with security agencies by providing timely and actionable information that would aid crime prevention and response.
He reassured the public of the Command’s unwavering commitment to proactive policing and the protection of lives and property.
The Anambra State Police Command, he added, remains steadfast in its resolve to sustain strategies that will continue to enhance public safety and security across the state
