Abia Billionaire Anyaso Applauds Otti, Ukwa La Ngwa Seals 2027 Endorsement

Dr. Chima Desmond Anyaso

Prominent billionaire investor and Igbere-born philanthropist, Dr. Chima Desmond Anyaso, has declared that the performance of Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has fundamentally and positively altered the development trajectory of the state.
Dr. Anyaso made this assertion while joining a growing chorus of voices from the Ukwa La Ngwa region in applauding the governor’s developmental strides.
He spoke during the Grand Civic Reception organized in honour of Governor Otti at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba.
Popularly known as Ofuji Ndị Igbo, Dr. Anyaso stated that Governor Otti is fully deserving of the accolades being showered on him, describing the administration as transformative across nearly all sectors of the state.
“Governor Otti has profoundly reshaped the narrative of Abia State. His leadership has impacted almost every sector and has justified the confidence the people placed in him,” Anyaso said.
The civic reception, organized by the Ukwa La Ngwa Bloc, was both a celebration of the governor’s achievements and a clear political statement.
At the event, the group formally endorsed Governor Otti for a second term in 2027, with its leadership pledging to personally fund the purchase of his nomination forms.
An elated Governor Otti, addressing the energized crowd, expressed deep gratitude for the warm reception, emphasizing the importance of being recognized by one’s own people.
“There is a saying that a prophet is without honour in his own land, but today proves otherwise. The best reception is the one from your own people. I sincerely thank the organizers and those who have pledged to purchase my nomination forms for the 2027 election. This support will never be taken for granted,” the Governor said.
Speaking on behalf of the Ukwa La Ngwa people, Chief Theo Nkire praised Governor Otti for revolutionizing Abia’s economy, with particular emphasis on the transformation of Aba from a neglected commercial center into a rapidly emerging world-class industrial hub.
The endorsement was further reinforced by the Traditional Rulers of the Ukwa La Ngwa Nation, who presented Governor Otti with symbolic gifts.
In a joint declaration, the monarchs pledged their total support for his administration, emphatically stating that the region would “not go back to Egypt”—a metaphorical reference to Abia’s past political eras.
The event attracted a massive turnout of traditional rulers, captains of industry, political leaders, and stakeholders from across Nigeria, underscoring a broad and unified support for Governor Otti’s “Rebuilding Abia” agenda.
