Federal Polytechnic Ohodo Congratulates New Registrar, Dr. Obini

The Governing Council, Management, Staff, and Students of Federal Polytechnic Ohodo, located in Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu State, have congratulated the newly appointed Registrar of the institution, Dr. Obini Onuchukwu.
The congratulatory message was issued following his assumption of office after a successful handover ceremony.
In a statement released by the Head of the School Public Relations and Protocol Unit, Mr. Anyanwu Chigoziem, and made available to journalists, the institution disclosed that Dr. Obini Onuchukwu formally took over from the outgoing pioneer Registrar, Barr. Mrs. Eze-Ali Grace Ogba, marking a significant transition in the administrative leadership of the institution.
Mr. Anyanwu described Dr. Obini Onuchukwu as a seasoned administrator and accomplished communication scholar, noting that he brings to the office a wealth of experience spanning over two decades in higher education administration, public relations, and institutional governance.
According to him, prior to his appointment, Dr. Obini served meritoriously in various capacities, including Acting Registrar, Director of Special Duties/Administration, and Deputy Registrar at the Federal Polytechnic Oko, Anambra State.
He also held a strategic position at the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), among others.
He further stated that Dr. Obini holds a PhD in Mass Communication, alongside multiple academic and professional qualifications.
He is also a Fellow and member of several reputable professional bodies. His career, he added, is distinguished by numerous awards, leadership roles, and contributions to policy, administration, and academic development.
Mr. Anyanwu reiterated that the management of Federal Polytechnic Ohodo expresses confidence in Dr. Obini’s capacity to consolidate on existing gains and further strengthen the institution’s administrative framework.
He once again affirmed that the entire Polytechnic community wishes Dr. Obini a successful and impactful tenure in office. He also noted that Dr. Obini hails from Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State and is happily married with children.
